Angela Austin – Sports Massage & Crew

Part of Lizzie's recovery and injury prevention squad Angela is a Level 5 Soft Tissue Therapist (highest qualification available in the UK). Angela has hero status within the running community because she does so much for the sport. Just a few things that Angela selflessly does: chairperson for Hart Road Runners, coach for Hart Road Runners and FCAC Juniors, race volunteer at many events, sports masseuse at weekend events all over the county, crew to countless runners across all distances and keen supporter at any event whether she is participant or cheer person. Angela is often seen with the gorgeous Treacle in their green camper van, most likely delivering something to a runner in need! Angela is a wealth of knowledge and fascinating run-related stories and has taken part in just about every distance going. Angela crewed Lizzie to bronze at Wild Horse 200 in 2024 and then in 2025 crewed Lizzie to an 11 hour PB on the Wild Horse!

Blaze Fitness – Outdoor Fitness Training

Based out of Peter Driver sports field in Fleet, Lizzie has been attending Blaze outdoor fitness sessions since they first opened their doors. Under the guidance of expert fitness instructors Sarah, Hannah and Matt, Lizzie loves to attend these super fun boot camp sessions up to four times a week. The camaraderie at Blaze is second to none, no one gets left behind and everyone is supported no matter their level of fitness. There are usually burpees on every session though hence Lizzie's desire to do one on every finish line. All the Blaze members are a massive inspiration to Lizzie and when she needs to dig deep, she will think of the Blaze gang and that will get her through.

Brett Mahoney – Navigation Guide & Pacer

Lizzie first met Brett when she hired him as a mountain leader so she could learn map and compass skills. They had a great day out together on the Black Mountains Round and since then have done numerous runs together including Brett pacing Lizzie on the overnight section of the Gwynne-Harris Round, again on Wild Horse 200 in 2024 and ahead of DBR 2023 Brett took Lizzie up Tryfan and introduced her to Crib Goch.

Brett is a phenomenal individual working as an outdoor activities development officer at Gwent Outdoor Partnership. Brett and super pup Bryn run up Sugarloaf every morning to get their day started. Brett is an invaluable member of his local Mountain Rescue team and won the Spine South Challenger MRT in 2024.

Eddie Walker – Personal Trainer

With three decades in the fitness industry Eddie knows his squat press from his squat thrust. Eddie is helping Lizzie prepare for her England debut at the Highlander Four Nations Backyard Ultra in July 2025. He's put together a stunning plan which is entirely suited to Lizzie's personal  needs and development as a stronger runner. Lizzie started seeing positive gains from the second session where she noticed an injection of strength from her hill repeat session. Eddie will see you from his outdoor home gym, in your own home or at your gym, he is based in Tongham, Surrey.

Fenix UK – Sponsor

Lizzie is a big fan of Fenix head torches and has been lucky enough to have been assisted by Fenix ahead of her Wild Horse 200 attempt in May 2025 as well as her BYU England debut at the Four Nations BYU in July 2025.

The HM65R-T V2.0 is a fantastic addition to Lizzie's kit which has cool white light for normal running conditions and a warm white light to penetrate through mist and fog, ideal for the foggy conditions Lizzie often faces in Bannau Brycheiniog.

Francis Tracey – Crew & Pacer

Where to start with Fran? This absolute legend of a human being is Lizzie's bestest running buddy, they train together in the hills and Francis has seen Lizzie through every emotion possible as her crew and pacer. Fran is able to know exactly how to keep Lizzie's spirits up and no task is too big an ask from changing socks (he hates other people's feet), pep talks, dismantling crew stations to stepping in last minute to pace the final 38 miles of Wild Horse 2024 and helping Lizzie up a staircase when her legs were shattered after Trails & Tarmac BYU. Francis owns and runs a successful business sourcing impossible things for large companies and spends his spare time helping others, keeping the locals in check at his favorite drinking haunt, and galavanting around the hills of Wales and the flats of Oxford.
